Matthew McRobie

Matthew is a 1st Year PhD at York, co-supervised by . Caroline Dessent and Dr. Peter Karadakov.

He graduated with an MChem from the University of York in the Summer of 2019.  In his final year he conducted mechanistic investigation into the ultrafast behaviour of iron carbonyls using time-resolved infrared spectroscopy.

His PhD research focus is mapping out the low-lying excited states of aromatic and anti-aromatic ions through a combination of theory and experiment.
